The Folder Mode setting tells the SM5 to organize recordings into daily or nightly subfolders.
By default, all recordings are saved to a single folder, named Data_AC/. Enabling daily or nightly folders further organizes the recordings into dated subfolders with the date format YYYYMMDD.

Daily folder mode organizes recordings into subfolders based on the calendar date on which the recordings started. Each day period begins at 12:00 AM, or 00:00, and ends after 11:59 PM, or 23:59.
For example, an acoustic recording that begins on June 1st, 2026, at 12:00 AM, or 00:00, and an acoustic recording that begins on June 1st, 2026, at 11:59 PM, or 23:59, will both be saved to the daily folder Data_AC/20260601/.

Nightly folder mode organizes your recordings into 24-hour periods spanning from 12:00 PM on the folder's date until 11:59 AM the following day. If you count your survey periods by night rather than by day, this mode keeps all recordings from a given night in a single subfolder.
For example, an acoustic recording that begins on June 1st, 2026, at 12:05 PM and an acoustic recording that begins on June 2nd, 2026 at 11:55 AM will both be saved to the nightly folder Data_AC/20260601/.
