Check the SM5's Status over Bluetooth Using the Song Meter Configurator App - SM5

Without needing to pair, you can use the mobile app to check the status of any nearby SM5.

Procedure

  1. Power on the SM5 if it is turned off.
  2. Launch the Song Meter Configurator app on your smartphone or tablet and bring it within Bluetooth® range of the SM5.
    The maximum effective range depends on your device and how cluttered the surroundings are, but 10–20 meters is typical.

    The app opens to the Recorders screen. Within a few seconds, the name of your SM5 should appear in the list.

    For example, in the image below, the app is currently receiving status beacons from an SM5 named S5A00032, and it last received status beacons from an SM5BAT named S5U00025 8 days ago.

  3. Select Status to view a nearby recorder's current status or the last status the app received from any recorder.
