You can disable Bluetooth beacons to prevent the SM5 from broadcasting its status to non-paired mobile devices.
By default, the SM5 broadcasts its status over Bluetooth. This allows anyone nearby with the Song Meter Configurator app to view the recorder's status, even when they have not paired the app with the recorder.
If you disable Bluetooth beacons, the Song Meter Configurator will not receive the recorder's status unless the app and recorder are paired.
Whether Bluetooth beacons are enabled or disabled, a person cannot alter the SM5's settings unless they can press the physical buttons to pair the Song Meter Configurator app or interact with the built-in display.
