The Activity LED setting sets whether the LED on the front panel of the SM5 indicates activity for the entire deployment or for only the first five minutes.
The activity LED blinks once every two seconds during acoustic recording.
Options

- 5 minutes
By default, the activity LED on the SM5's front panel will indicate every recording period throughout a deployment. When set to 5 minutes, the activity LED will only indicate recording for five minutes after the SM5's enclosure is latched.
Use the 5 minutes option if you want to avoid attracting attention to the recorder.
