A SMART System can be configured to send OPC UA events in response to possible error
states, such as a detected reboot, lack of disk space, or microphone failure.
About this task
OPC UA can send events on the SmartController node in response to
the conditions listed below:
- The SMART Controller has rebooted.
- The available space on the SMART Controller's internal drive has fallen below a
specified threshold.
- A SMART MIC-1 microphone's status registers as "missing."
- A microphone's measured sensitivity falls below a specified threshold, in
dBFS.
Procedure
-
Connect to the SMART Control Panel and go to Maintenance.
-
Under Email Alerts, select which of the available statuses
should trigger an OPC UA event, and edit the corresponding thresholds for
available disk space and microphone calibration.
The
Microphone Calibration checkbox enables three
separate OPC UA events:
SystemPrimaryMicCalibrationEventType
- The calibration result for the primary element of the specified
microphone has fallen below the specified threshold on the Maintenance tab.
SystemBackupMicCalibrationEventType
- The calibration result for the backup element of the specified
microphone has fallen below the specified threshold on the Maintenance tab.
SystemMicFailedEventType
- The calibration results for both the primary and backup elements of
the specified microphone have fallen below the specified threshold
on the Maintenance
tab.
-
Select how often alerts should repeat if the status has not cleared.
-
Select Apply Changes, located at the top of the
Maintenance tab.
-
In your OPC UA client, subscribe to events published by the
SmartController node (NodeId =
15553).
